Hi There,

I Just installed surround sound into my home office today and I was wondering how many other people use it and if so what is your setup (Quadrophonic, 5.1, 7.1, 9.1)?

Mines only a 5.1. Still sounds pretty good though.

5.1 is more than adequate. I think anything more is a waste. You don't need the added rear centre speaker in a 6.1 setup or beyond.

5.1 here. Standard Logitech Z-5500 system.

Just a quick note: If you're going to connect your system to your PC through optical or coax you might want to install a Dolby or DTS encoder from your computer/motherboard manufactures website.

I have 5.1 Logitech Z-5500.

Most people really haven't a clue what there doing when they set them up, and realise that they may need some stands for the side/rear speakers, and then they end up putting them all at the front or way back.

Movies and games dont really take that much advantage of surround sound, they usually have the odd sound coming out of them, or so quiet you cant hear anything.

Most of the time I either use my Denon SC-M2 Stereo Speakers or my Sennheiser HD 515 headphones.

When I want to use surround sound, I have a nice set of Logitech x540's, which are really nothing special, but are good when I want to blow the crap out of my floor :3
