i ask this question because unless you've been living under a rock you know the touchpad came out just yesterday to stores nationwide, and was initially amazed by what was shown on the original launch commercial, but after hearing all these reviews explaining consistently how badly it sucks, would you buy it anyways, knowing that it may improve greatly in the near future.

a good example would be people thought the iphone was a joke 4 years ago, now its the standard in smartphones, like the ipad is in the tablet market.

I wouldn't because I would prefer Android or iOS over webOS.

Maybe if it would be cheaper than the iPad maybe I would consider it. Now, I'm sticking to iOS and I must say I started to consider Android in the last couple of days, but not Honeycomb, the 2.2 tablets like the Galaxy Tab and the HTC Flyer.

WebOS = Awesome.
WebOS = Poorly implemented in every form.

Neither of those have changed since HP bought Palm sadly, since the later is the most important. I've used a few of them.  All of them were slow, poorly executed, but have a gorgeous, and intuitive interface.  By goly, I might even say its more intuitive then the iPad.  Sadly though, its slow, buggy, and hard to mange from a media standpoint.

So, if the above issues are fixed, I would buy one if they were priced cheaper. (599 is too much)But I don't see it happening.
