Since Sunday, the trackpad on My MacBook Pro has been acting weird. When I try to drag an item or a window, the trackpad becomes unresponsive. I tried tweaking the settings but that didn't work. Is it a hardware issue or an OS issue. Will reformatting the HD again solve this problem?

Have you tried doing a good clean on the trackpad?

Same thing (sort-of) happened to me. After returning from a trip I noticed my trackpad wouldn't register clicks. I figured out that clicking super hard and dragging works but it is still an annoyance. If you're still under warranty or have purchased AppleCare, I would recommend contacting Apple using [Express Lane][1] or the Genius Bar.

That makes absolutely no sense.
