keyloggers are usually malwares right? i mean, they're usually security threats/attacks and are often "killed" by antivirus softwares the moment they exist in your system.

and I don't know if there are any laws existing against them, but in my country I'm 101% sure there isn't any.

Now back in the days where Windows XP is not yet born, I find them (keyloggers) useful for PC-owners. since it's like a "security Camera" inside your PC.

sure I do trust security softwares, the way I trust my heavy duty padlocks and chains but things are better when you know EXACTLY what they did to your PC.

with the "security Camera" point of view / Analogy.
**I wanted to have this program, but I do not know a safe place to trust except for lockergnome.**

so where can I get a SAFE key logger?
bdw, i'm on Windows7 x64 ultimate SP1 if that'd help.

thanks guys and I'd appreciate your help in anyway possible.

key loggers are illegal if there used to spy on someone without there knowledge, it's pretty universal and in most country data protection acts across the world. so don't know where you are but it's probably illegal if your going to be using it to spy on someone else or install one on someone's computer without there knowledge.

I have never come across a good one or one that doesn't get deleted. Most will also display a icon in the bottom right to indicate that there being logged.

the only things that i have seen that will not get deleted or blocked by antivirus is going to be a USB key logger that goes between the keyboard and computer.

it's not someone else's computer.  I'm gonna put it in my own, since I don't want other people to use this except me. and if someone else touches it, say open it w/o my permission, i'd know exactly what he did.

I question the legitimacy of this particular posting. I do not feel that there is added security of using a keylogger. Yes you can draw the analogy of a security camera, but do you need to view everything?

Another thing is if you make a record of something, someone else can get their hands on it. it does not matter how secure the key logger is, or how secure the computer is. If you write it down, someone can get it.

I do not feel a keylogger is a good way to keep kids safe online. The best way is to watch what they are doing. If you have young kids you should be in the room with them. If they are teenagers, this will only serve to break down the relationship between the child and the parent, and they will find other ways to get online, or a way around it.
