I'm not exactly English, so I don't really feel the importance of her majesty. But personally, I'd rather they keep the old name.

It should stay BigBen.

That is what It has been for years and should stay the same.

It was an idiotic idea by the conservative party. I am british (although not a royalist) and will always call it Big Ben. If the Tories want to rename it for whatever reason they can, they are good at making stupid decisions but all of us from the UK will still call it Big Ben.

When I come back to England, first thing imma ask is where's Big Ben. It's always Big Ben for me, and billions of people. It will never change, as @Jackster1337 said.

No they are not renaming Big Ben. Big Ben is the bell and by extension the clock.  The Tower is not Big Ben. All that will change is that it will become the Elizabeth Tower which houses Big Ben instead of the Westminster Clock Tower that houses Big Ben. Beware believing anything that originates with the Daily Mail!

Big Ben is actually the name of the bell within the tower, The 'Ben' in the name is thought to be a tribute to Sir Benjamin Hall, commissioner of works for the project, who was, appropriately, a man of great size! the rest of the tower has chanced name a few times during its 156 year lifetime.
