I wanna start making podcasts, and I was wondering how to do it. Is there specific program I need to use to record it, submit it, etc? Any help with anything involving podcasts would be great.
Thanks ya'll!

For Audio: You will need something (like audio recorder program or devices), Possibly edit out the podcast (so an audio editor), and it has to render out to mp3 format, or aac.And then set up a RSS feed and connect it with iTunes.

For Video: Video recorder, video importer (to bring it to a digital format, unless the device is a digital recorder, then skip it), video editor, and they have to render out usually mp4 (h.264 and AAC). And then set up a RSS feed and connect it with iTunes.

A podcast is just a non-streamed set of media files hosted on an RSS feed.  In most cases it's a normal aac or mp3 file for audio or an mp4 file video (h.264 + aac).  All you need is a Mic and an application that can record from it, which can export the audio as mp3 or aac (Apple prefers AAC if you want the feed on iTunes).  Then sign up to a podcast host website, upload the file, and add the RSS feed of it to places like iTunes.
