My grandmother wants a net book, but she does not want to pay a lot. What is a good brand?

ASUS would be what I'd look at first. They are pretty much the oldest, and make some very nice ones. I also like MSI's one. But I'd for sure look at ASUS first.

MSI in my opinion is excellent. I have had my MSI Wind for 2 years now and i love it. I have even dropped it heaps of times and it still runs as well as the day i bought it.

Dell looks nice. If I were to buy a netbook thats what I would get.

In terms of quality, I like the dell ones, A few students have them at the college I go to and even though they mainly keep them in their bookbags which gets thrown around, they still keep working.

ASUS is the best bet, then MSI. Dell's are nice but pricing is a bit high... you could always go with a really expensive netbook and get a MacBook Air.

Thts one problem I have with newer netbooks, the prices are so close to that of a laptop that in most cases you can spend a few dollars more and get like 5 times the performance.

If you need something small then there many laptops that are around 11-12 inches

idk how old your grandmother is, but as far as mine goes, the vision is kinda going along with dextarity, and even if she could use a computer, i would not recommend a netbook for her due to the small screen and small keyboard.

truth of the matter is i would not recommend a netbook to anyone, but if that is what she wants go with ASUS.
