I host my main Website/blog with Godaddy, but there are other small sites and blogs that I would like to set up that aren't really worth paying for hosting. I would love to just use Wordpress.com, 3gb of space is more then enough, but Wordpress.com doesn't allow HTML or Java Script so I am not able to place ads to generate revenue. I don't really need more then 2 or even 1gb for some of them. Obviously 100% free hosting will never be the quality o paid hosting such as I have with Godaddy, but I'm not asking for much :) Thanks :) |

The only one that I know of is http://www.000webhost.com/, I have never used them but I have heard good things about them. I've tried them out a while ago, I remember the UI was trash, but I'm not sure about now. I'll check them out again :) Okay. Let me know how it gos because I have been looking into making a website but I don't want to spend to much money just for a experiment. |

Well, If your looking for free hosting for wordpress, I would go with x10hosting.com, 000webhost.com or 5gigs.net. I would x10hosting if I were you. Thanks! I'll check them out :) I think he means http://www.000webhost.com/. x10hosting.com is a bother. Don't try. |

Another really good site for free WordPress hosting is EcoSee.com The WordPress software is automatically installed when you buy your domain name. And, your site comes preloaded with some really good plugins and themes. |

WHy not use a a second computer at home and host it yourself through either windows or linux. I have two computers at my house that I am using here that are using IIS, php and mysql to run the things in the background. That would be a easy set up to do. Took me an hour on each of the machines to set up and install. Then use something like Dyndns.com to link it to a url. This would be a idea that you can do at home on your spare time. |
