Out of all the URL shortener's out their on the web, which one would you use or prefer to use and which is your second and third choice that you would use? Have you used URL shortener's before? |
|
http://goo.gl/ is the least likely one to go down since it is powered by Google. I don't know if Google.com has ever gone down, but they spend the most money making stuff reliable so that would be my site of choice. I also use http://bit.ly/. The shorteners that I have recommended will not contain viruses but you might find some other site do. http://goo.gl/ is a new service by Google so right now it might not be popular as http://bit.ly/ but overtime Google's URl shortener will get more popular. I've used http://goo.gl/ before but i haven't used the other ones before. Yep. I just started to use Googles. Is goo.gl really a new thing? I can't even remember when I started using the extension. |

I prefer bit.ly because it is the most popular, thus the least likely to go down leaving millions of broken links across the web. :) As for your safety concerns, yes, they are safe to use and the shortened URL will not contain spyware. People could always link to bad sites with URL shorteners, but the service itself is safe. |

The best is adf.ly (removed referral link) 1
That is spam. You are posting a referral link.

i use mcaf.ee... McAfee's safe and quick URL shortener... example 1: http://mcaf.ee/hcx1v is this website |
|
I prefer http://adf.ly/ as you get paid to shorten xD 1
@Jack: Again, you are posting spam by using this site to get money. Please read the bolded part below.
WOW I don't even remember posting this. I don't even have a adf.ly account? your account must be hacked and what service do you use to login to lockergnome with? and i mean like google accounts or facebook or the normal login? Yer I'm changing my password. |
|
I use bit.ly because I find it really easy to use and it is very popular. Also there are many plug-ins for my web browsers. Also there is really no reason not to like it. |
|
I use is.gd, goo.gl, and bit.ly; though mainly bit.ly since it is a popular shortner. |

haha, I've never used URL shortener. I use Opera as my main browser, and with Speed Dial and being able to type in a search for any search engine i want right into the address bar... It would be a waste of time for me to use one=P |
