So ive got my family to get me the new iPod Touch 4 i have the 2nd Generation but i want to know what is the biggest Up's and biggest Down's of the new iPod?

Completely Irrelevant, because im asking should i buy it whats the Up's and Downs this guy has already bought it.... Completely different question just based on the same topic

You should check out this comparison.

The good: Higher resolution screen, cameras, smaller design, FaceTime, multitasing.

The bad: Nothing is really bad compared to the 2G iPod Touch.

A few good things are:

Retina Display like the iPhone 4

FaceTime

Facing and Front Facing Cameras

A lot faster with Apples A4 Chip

iOS 4.0 includes Multitasking and Homescreen Wallpaper

A few bad things are:

The thinness, my Uncle has one and it slipped out of his hand into a puddle of water :(

It hasn't got a very good camera, not as good as the iPhone 4's camera

As cusinndzl said, it is not very much better than the iPod Touch 2nd Generation

How is it not better than the 2G? Look at your good things list. IO think that that would make it better than the 2G.

Thankyou so much thecomputergeek01, and TheTechDude, I think the iPod 4 is close to the 2G But i think the iPod 4G is better in my personal opinion

Well, it can run 4.X to the fullest, has a a front, and rear camera (Not as good as the iPhone 4's, but that's to be expected), retina display, thinner/lighter, etc.

I don't see how anything could have gotten worse, if all they did was add features...
