So at my school they have blocked LogMeIn. So i need a new way of getting on my homePC without having to download Team Viewer. Any suggestions? |

I suggest TeamViewer Portable. You can run it on a flash drive, and never have to worry about installing it on the school's computers. you still have to run a excusable. Witch I can't do at school. So you can't open up a web browser, Word document, PowerPoint presentation? Your computers at school suck. Tell me about it.... |

From http://alternativeto.net/software/logmein/ there is TeamViewer, and Windows Live - Mesh (yes it is) |

If you run you could use Windows Live Mesh (see here: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mesh) which is Microsoft's remote desktop software all you do is once you have the software installed on your home computer you can go to the website above and then connect to your computer but it does install a ActiveX thing onto your computer so that might be a problem with connecting but other than that it gives you a good way to connect through the browser. Or you could try if you and your school run Windows you could use Remote Desktop Connect if the school doesn't block it. They probably do. All you would need to do then is have professional or higher version of Windows on your home and could connect from school. Ill try the Live Mesh. IDK if ActiveX is on and we have ****IE6..... So fingers crossed. Remote Desktop is blocked, So is everything in this school :( I think there is ActiveX in IE6 but it might not support it and ask you to update. |

If you run Teamviewer on your home computer and create an account you can login via the Teamviewer website and connect to your computer. The login link is at the top of the Teamviewer.com homepage called 'Web Login'. |
|
hidemyass.com? You can use that to use logmein. Hide My Ass is a hidden proxy. |

I suggest Techinline (www.techinline.com) as a nice alternative to LogMeIn. I've been using it for years to assist clients Admin, This is possible spam. That fact he only answered this one question and has not been on since. Most likely an employee of his link. It is fine, the link is to a remote desktop solution |

One alternative is Windows Live Mesh (https://www.mesh.com/) which is coming out of beta next year, or you could put teamviewer portable on a flash drive (http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/teamviewer_portable). Hope this helps Live Mesh is out of Beta. Here: http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mesh |
