Is there anyone in Japan that can share info on the "Space Battleship Yamato" (aka. Star Blazers) movie?

I watched Star Blazers as a child, and I'm interested how "Space Battleship Yamato" (aka. Star Blazers) movie is. Does it suck? When is it coming to the United States of America? Thank you in advance for any information.
