With the recent "breakfast" between the two companies CEO's it is possible that Microsoft may be trying to make a bid at Twitter. What is your opinion? Do you think this is going to be good for social media and the search engine world?

Check my article on it on my blog ---> Allen Resha dot Com It tells of the breakfast and what has the rumors flying.

Will Google be lose power if this happens? Will Bing be the number 1 search engine?

I sure hope that Microsoft doesn't buy out Twitter, because then I'd have to go to another social network instead.

I agree if you were to add Microsoft with Twitter it would ruin the good!

If they bought Twitter, myself and a ton other people would stop using it.

I agree! I would still use it because I love Twitter, but it would not be the same!

I love Twitter's interface and Microsoft would add their weird junk to it, give you a preset theme of a kitty with a girl, and... yeaa. So, no.

seriously who gives a sh*t.... I hope microsoft buys it, revamps it and makes it into a site that is halfway decent instead of having it for every trailer trash loser to use as a constant diary and nag forum!!!!!!!!!

Twitter is ridiculous, So I think Microsoft should do whatever they want with it.

I waited a bit to put my thoughts, I put this question out there as more to get feedback when I have formulated my own opinion. I wanted to see what others thought.

As far as Twitter goes I think Twitter will cease to be the site we know. Microsoft will try to monetize it so that it is a profitable venture where Twitter has so far left it alone. Now for Microsoft this will be a huge leap especially in the search world. With Twitter being one of the biggest arenas for people to share information it will revolution search. My fear is the monetizing of the site will take away from its value.

I am curious as to others feedback.
