I have an 8GB USB pen drive but in my computer Windows 7 says its only 1GB. I did have have a lot of unwanted files on the disk so I reformatted it, after that it only shows as having 1GB capacity.

What's wrong with it?

Try looking at the flash drive in disk management. There may be something on it that you may want to delete

There's absolutely nothing on the drive. Of a total of 8GB there's only 950MB available.
