I have a corsair TX750w PSU, and it's quite dirty inside. i have about 4 years left on the warrenty. i have done a huge clean inside the case, but the PSU is the only thing left that is dirty, it's very dusty and the fan has impacted dust on it. how can i clean it without voiding the warrenty, before i used to open them up, but obviously this will void the warrenty on it. and i dont think compressed air will do much, it's very dusty!! |

I would take it all the way out if you really want to clean it good. Hold it upside down with the fan facing down and blow compressed air into it. Also a fine brush may help like the other person said. |

I dont have any compressed air, But I find that the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner sucking on the vent does the trick for me, as well as the rest of the PC. Just make sure there isn't any loose screws... |

Remove the PSU unit completely from the system. DON'T open the case. You can actually KILL yourself via electruction if YOU Don't KNOW what you are doing. Go at it with two compressed air cans at once. A paint brush will also knock external debris off. You can stick the hose in the vents safely. Get a PC caddy and move the PC off the carpet onto the caddy. |
