I tried to order an item on eBay. I put in my info, and it said that something was wrong with my card info, so I tried again, and got the same message, so I gave up.

And just now I went to the bank to see how much money I had in my account, and realized that eBay had taken my money, even though it says I haven't payed.

I have sent them an email. I tried to do a chat, but it said I would have to wait 78mins.

The money should still be there, it might just be unavailable because the purchase half went through, the back reserved that money to pay for the item but didn't send the money. If thats the case it should be available again within 2 - 3 days. I would contact eBay and your Bank just incase though.

1, send a message to the seller, tell them that something went wrong with the payment and you dont know if it went through or not, so could they check if they have the money because your missing the same ammount from your account as the item cost, but never got a confirmation that the money was sent.

2, go into your local bank, ask one of the assistants at the desks to check if the money has been allocated to be sent, or has been sent, and see were it has gone.

if you get no reply from the seller after 3-4 days, email Ebay and ask them to look into the situation.

you usually have to wait 10 days befor you can open a buyer/seller dispute, but it's still an option, and if the money has gone through, and the item not sent, thats an option.

the item is not always marked as payment sent.
