Just a thought, i have been using Hotmail my whole life until a few weeks ago when i decided to switch to Gmail. If you still use hotmail as your primary email, Why? Whats the appeal of it? If not, do you think Hotmail will have the same fate as MySpace? Taken over by its more modern and simpler competitors?

I created on a couple of days ago for the office web apps because I was in windows and I didn't have office installed |

Hotmail is my primary email site and have been using it for years. I have Gmail as my secondary, but also get gmail mail forwarded to Hotmail, mainly for conenience. I do have a Yahoo mail account, for which I have been using for years, but may have to change some of my subscriptions which use yahoo mail as Yahoo is falling to pieces and I don't want to loose all my contacts. |

Yes, I still use Hotmail as one of my many email providers. These days I only maintain about 10 email accounts all used for different reasons and purposes ranging from home, work, online accounts, and customer shipping for parts. Gmail - (1 account) 7.3GB free storage. Integrated with Google reader, documents, calendar and chat. Great mail search ability. Hotmail - (1 account) 25GB free storage, and it's integrated with all of my other Microsoft ID's / gamer tags. Live - (2 accounts) 25GB free storage. Hotmail and Live are now one and further combines all of my Microsoft ID's / gamer tags. Yahoo - (1 account) Spam receptacle, it is where all the Spam gets sent to. It's one of my oldest and least useful because of all of the spam. (I really do actively use Yahoo for more than just spam it just happens to be the one with the greatest amount of spam.) AOL - (2 accounts) Netscape was my first account I have 2 accounts I maintain associated with home and work; and one additional aol / aim account. Inbox - (1 account) 5GB free storage, great organizer for calendar, photos, documents. GMX - (1 account) complete stand alone solution separate from an active Internet browser. Secure with 1GB free storage. HotPop - (1 account) pop3 only service that is received into my client - Thunderbird. I have tried to subscribe and set up an account with zenbe.com, but they have not responded back to me yet. |

I used to have Hotmail, but the bigger names like Yahoo and Gmail sucked me in. Gmail is so easy and I have no problems. Plus they have chat/video call now for free! |

I am much like you, I have used Hotmail since way way back. :D Love it, but Yahoo & GMail are cool too, but it's hard to give up something you have used for so long. :D |

I would use Hotmail, but being only a POP3 account type, I use Gmail and iCloud. Seriously Microsoft? |

I have my hotmail, Gmail, yahoo, and aol as garbage email accounts. but sift through them to see what come in from the different places that I go to. Hot mail was my first one since 1995. |

I still use hotmail as my primary account. I've actually been using for for about 12 years now. I also use Gmail and MobileMe (now iCloud) as secondary and yahoo, aol and some others occasionally. Though I don't like that Yahoo seems to spam your inbox. I never even gave out my email and yet I have thousands of spam emails. |

I have many, many email accounts. One of those being Hotmail. I used it as my 'main' account for many years, but at the start of this year bought myself a domain that I have set up with Google Apps for my email. I no longer use my Hotmail account. |
