well... I am currently changing my passwords on all the websites I frequently use, and I was wondering, how often the lockergnome community changes your passwords?

Everybody have Brain dude, the thing is you definitely change your passwords once or twice in six months at least , you Don't know what might happens. Hackers may be trying your accounts. so if you change your passwords timely you will be safe Everytime.

I don't change them as often as I should but a good rule of thumb is roughly every 150 days. You should also never use the same password for multiple accounts. If they break one they would have all access pass to your life. Use strong passwords of at least 15 characters and avoid the use of common names. Most of this is common sense but a lot of people still do it wrong.

I rarely to never change my passwords. So long as it has no particular relation to you (i.e. something someone could guess), isn't a word, and uses numbers and letters of some length then changing it won't do much. If a hacker broke a password like that using some sort of algorithm, changing it won't stop them from doing it next time.

I just changed all of my passwords like a week ago. Best passwords are those that are tricky not long, eg: Super$ecreTpassw0rd. If you make your passwords really long a good idea would be to make just one common password and then add some letters to the end so it differs on every site.

The example you just posted above can be broke in under 3 minutes. The idea I agree is to make it tricky don't follow a pattern.
