Hello,

I have a very new computer but the corner of it broke off a couple of days ago, just a little bit of plastic and I have a dead pixel.

I'm living in a third world country at the moment and this is where I got the computer and I do know that it is genuine. My question is, should I backup all of my stuff before taking it over there, this is mainly for the dead pixel.. Because they might have to login..

Cheers

Good Grief- yes!!!

Many repair places erase drives even if the symptom doesn't warrant it (like the surgeon who takes off the wrong leg).

Back-up now...

warrenty's dont usualy cover the screen, battery or charger. a dead pixel will not be under the warrenty unless there are a lot in the same area, manufacturers specify how many dead pixels per square inch befor they will replace the screen under warrenty.
