I am trying to decide between a MacBook Pro or Air. I will be using it for Internet, e-mails, managing photos, editing family home movies. I would like the portability to move around the house, but probably won't be taking it outside the house much.

Depending on the complexities of your video editing, if you're just using iMovie, I'd go with the MacBook. If you're serious about editing, then the Pro is for you. The Air is not for editing.

I would rather not with its lackluster 1.6 Ghz processor.

Still you can

Get a Macbook Pro because even though it's not as portable than the Macbook Air it it still very versatile and the Macbook Pro is a lot more powerful especially if your going to be editing movies.

Get a Macbook Pro. It will be a pain to edit videos on the Macbook Air. Also, the Macbook Pro is a very portable laptop especially at the 13" or 15" screen size.

If you were a business man/woman, and you travel from airport to airport constantly, I would go for the MacBook Air, because it's light, and it's powerful enough to do somewhat complicated tasks. Since you are just going to be carrying it around the house, you won't mind the extra pound or two.

So, based on your needs, you'd be best paired with a MacBook Pro.

I would wait for a better MacBook Pro. The Air is nice and fast with it's SSD. I think that Apple will make MacBook Pros come standard with SSDs without it being optional next time, and perhaps make them cheaper.

I don't understand why people just can't be happy with what they have. If you just bought a MacBook Pro, be happy that you own one, because one day, you may not have the privilege of owning one.

Regret is a terrible thing (and also your grammar. Don't worry, I'll help you out a little bit).

Not sure if you're talking to me, but I don't own one. I'm just saying that it'd be better to wait for a better one.

And what if I didn't 'JUST' buy a Macbook Pro, then should I not be happy that I own one?
