I am going to buy a diagramming software, but don't know which is the best software. I had come across many free software but did not find it helpful. Can anyone help me decide which is the best software to opt for. |

Visio is what we use in our office to create illustrations such as flow charts. There are other CAD type systems available for less money and some for more money but Visio has proven to be user friendly and well worth the expense. |

Visio is really good. But a lot of the same functionality is available as part of the Draw functionality in Microsoft Powerpoint. Where I work we've just been using that for our poster presentations that use outlines. For process or software design, a good open source solution is Violet, a UML editor. http://violet.sourceforge.net/ |
