No, If you want the best, you have to go with Adobe CS5, (Premier, After Effects, On-location, Encore, the whole whack.) I use the CS5 Master Collection.Production Premium ought to work for you. Then take a hard look at the video co-pilot tutorials. Take an Adobe class, You will learn how to use this amazing tool. (and if you don't, you may wonder why you didn't get Vegas, and your work will look like it too.)

I love avid media composer as the editor. Avid makes some great software products that are easily 10x as better than a lot of what adobe can put out. I do like adobe's software, and I used most of it in my high school television production class. Since the other products Avid offers are expensive, we used adobe to make overlays among other things. Avid takes some time to learn as well. But FCP and Avid are what is used in the professional world, not Adobe. Companies like Craig Murray Productions and The Food Network use Avid and NYU's Tisch uses a lot of FCP
