Alright so, I have the ATI Radeon HD 4350 and I want to upgrade it to the ATI Radeon HD 5770.

I wanted to know if my computer can support this graphics card since it's $150 and I don't want to waste that money on a card that won't work on my computer :P.

So, here are the specs:

PC Model: HP Pavillion p6342f (worth $650 when I bought it in last July)

CPU: Intel Core i3 530 @ 2.93 GHz

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 (want to upgrade to 5770)

Motherboard: MSI IONA 1.0

RAM: 4 GB DDR3

HDD: 625 GB Western Digital

I'm also running the PC at 1920 X 1080 resolution if that helps. So, is that card compatible with this hardware? Thank you!

EDIT: I now have the HD 5770 in my system along with a Antec 550w PSU, thanks for the help guys, the card works great :)

As long as it's 450WATTS or above he should be good to go.

Yes your MoBo should support PCI-E 2.0, as long as you have the right amount of power in ur system you should be fine.

lol what are the chances of me stumbling upon this thread today for I just ordered that card yesterday and it will be arriving tomorrow but yes as long as you have a 450 watt PSU or above and a PCI-E slot and enough space in your case it should work lovely lol

Alright guys so I just checked and unfortunately.. my PSU is 300W :( So what card could you recommend me that would work on a 300W PSU and those specs above? :/

Well looking at how the 5770 is using less power then the 4800 cards it would be wise to look into how much graphics power you really need what also think about future upgrades you may end up needing more power if you wish to add more than just a new graphics card.

Hmm.. true, so maybe a 500W PSU from newegg , then, buying the card. Might be more expensive that I anticipated but will be worth it.

Yes I would truly suggest a new PSU and the 5770 and im not saying this through experience but just off the top of my head that you are not going to be able to get a super high powered video card for a 300 watt PSU im not saying its not possible im just saying ive never seen one.
