I was getting ready to buy a 15" Hi-Res MacBook Pro, however the new MacBook Air just came out. Also, the MBP is reaching the end of a cycle.
Steve Jobs said the MBA was the future of MacBooks which most likely means that MBPs will eventually have flash storage, instant on, etc.
I'm now thinking I want to buy the 11.6" MacBook Air for the time being, and once the 15" MacBook Pros are updated with these features, I'll buy that.
Keep in mind that this will be a secondary computer. What are your thoughts?

What are you mainly using it for?
If it's just for casual use, I would say get the Air. If you need to do a lot of editing, or anything that takes quite a bit of power, wait for the new Pros.
Also, keep in mind how much more portable the Air is. If you plan on taking your notebook traveling, or use it on your lap a lot, then the Air would be a much better choice.

Yups, I completely agree with other posters, If your use for this computer is not graphic heavy (seeming it is your secondary computer im guessing it wont?) then you wouldnt need the MBP. You would be better off with the MBA seeming how great the specs are and you will be having a lighter laptop to carry around. Unless of course you need your optical drive and other ports regularly (firewire/sd card).
