I had Ubuntu installed on my laptop. I removed it, and I deleted the partition. Now when I try to boot up I get a error.

Error: unknown file system grub rescue>

How do I fix this!?

I don't have a copy of windows 7.

I am also not able to boot from my external hard drive which has Ubuntu on it.
