Verizon? AT&T? TMobile? When searching for a cell phone service, what is most important to you? Is it the selection of phones, the overall service areas, the cost of plans, or the customer service/support? I was just looking around because my contract is ending soon and wondered what everyone thinks. Keep in mind that this is not a question about who is the best carrier.

Just look for the best signal with the best phones and prices.

I have always wanted the Evo 4G ever since I first heard of it. Unfortunately I just found out last night that it is not a "Global Phone" and it wouldn't work in Germany where I travel to a lot.

My criteria going forward will be capabilities of the phone, coverage area of the provider, and also the ability to take the phone to different parts of the world (most importantly Germany).

I look at smartphone service costs, smartphone selection, and coverage in my area. Due to the fact that AT&T is the only carrier with the iPhone 4 in the US, I'm stuck with them for now.

Having recently moved to the UK from the US, I have had to re-evaluate this myself. I'm in London, and the coverage provided by all five carriers is pretty much rock solid around here.

My first consideration has to be getting the Android phone that I want, closely followed by a generous data plan. I use my phone more as a pocket computer than I do a phone, so phone costs and minutes allowance aren't so important to me. Now I have a smartphone, I seldom text anymore.
