I'm setting up the router and I don't know which setting to put it on. WPA or WPA2? I did research on Google but I can't find an answer. I know WPA2 is more secure, but the issue is that not all hardware supports WPA2 personal. Which setting should I use?

WPA2 is more secure. I would advise setting it up using WPA2 and see if everything connects to it. If it works then leave it otherwise go To WPA.

O,thanks. Yes, i have with WPA2, and all the computer's that are wireless are working and connecting with the internet. I will see how this settings goes and if i have any problems i will go back to WPA.

If they are connected then you should have no problems.

WPA2 is more secure than WPA. I would easily advise you to use WPA2. I know that the WPA TKIP has been cracked before.

Here is more I recommend, a good password that's not a simple wording that can be cracked by brute force of words and simple numbers

WPA or WPA2 are both secure admittadley WPA2 is more secure but compared to WEP then WPA is your best option. :P

At the end of the day what are you trying to protect? If someone really wants to get through your security they are going to...If your concerned about devices connecting use WPA and a strong password.

My suggestion: WPA2 with AES encryption

Maybe I'm being naive here, but my WiFi setup is basically no encryption whatsoever, all wireless access is based on a MAC address permission list. I know I'm open to MAC address spoofing, but at this time (after almost a year) no-one has done so.
