Customisability.
And yes. That is my desktop as of the day I posted it. :) What is the dock you use? He's using Docky. I'd love to know what theme you're using, Ryan. 1
I don't use Docky. It doesn't work correctly for me. I use Avant Window Navigator. On my windows laptop I use RocketDock. I like docks. Hmm.. Looks very much like Docky I guess. I prefer Docky to AWN, I find it just has a better feel to it and the open windows minimize to the icon, even if you don't have that icon pinned to the dock. i use cairo dock, pretty happy with it.

It's developed by a community of awesome people that dedicate a lot of time to the project. It's also free so there's no deciding to buy Home or Pro versions. |

Almost everything, especially the Multiple Desktops feature. |

It's free, fast,Highly functional, and it doesn't waste system resources doing stuff that has nothing to do with the purpose to which I put it. |

I like the fact it uses apt-get to install packages as i'm too lazy to run down dependencies |

Customization, vast amounts of open source software, hardware compatibility and multiple desktop capability. Multi-desktop is probably my most used feature - I have 4 on my old 32 bit laptop, and the new one will be running 8 virtual desktops. I get to keep the multi-monitor productivity feel even when I'm mobile. |
