I love my Logitech Dual Action remote.Similar to a ps3 remote with a mode button added. With a usb cable and it was 12 bucks.Great for the cost.So what are your favorite gaming remotes? |

Depends on the game. For 2D platformers I find the Logitech Dual Action perfect (in substitution of the SNES controller which is perfect for all the games that came out in that console). For console shooters the Xbox 360 controller is the one I like best, it's triggers and sticks are near perfect. The D-Pad sucks though, that's where the PS3 DualShock shines in addition to that it's lighter and never asked for external batteries. For Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl, the GameCube controller is perfect, playing with the Wiimote really sucks. But the Wiimote is perfect for the Metroid Prime saga. I just say there's no perfect controller for ALL games (not even "no controller" like Kinect, yeah it's a good idea but it doesn't work for all games), the game and the controller have to be designed for each other for it to be perfect. Imagine trying to play Picross 3D with the DualShock, it would be hell. That's why the iPhone fails at delivering good 2D ports, on-screen touch controllers emulating a D-Pad really, really suck. |

I really can't decide between the Sega Genesis (Three button) or the Sega Dreamcast controller. Both of which are some of the greatest controllers ever made. And if you look at the Dreamcast's controller, you will see it inspired another console's pretty heavily. |

Wired Xbox 360 controller, as long as the D-Pad is not a huge priority. Got to disagree with Jourei, the DualShock3 is too small, its analog triggers are terrible (I play racing games, gas and brake are the triggers, and the stock ones are too easy to slide right off and too small to easily modulate), and the left stick is in the wrong spot. The D-Pad is its only good point. I would say the wireless Xbox 360 controller, but it requires a special dongle for PC use and the third-party drivers which make it much better in games that don't explicitly support XInput devices don't really work with it on Vista or 7 x64 unless you disable driver signing which I won't do. Then again, IIRC you have to do the same to get the DS3 working properly wirelessly on those OSes as well... If you like precision input and can deal with a bit of cable modification, the old Xbox "Duke" or "S" controllers win since almost 100% of the buttons are analog and can be used as such with PC games. Great for clutch control which otherwise sucks without a three pedal wheel. |

For me, it's the Wii remote. Just because it's like the most comfortable one. You don't have to be hunched over while playing, keeping your hands together, you can lay on your side and play, you can stretch without letting go of the controller, and if you get mad at the game, you can shake it around like crazy without your arms being confined to both going in one direction. It's just so much more free and comfortable. |

I also use the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad, i love it, cheap and effective :) |
