Find out if your PC is a male or female. Open Notepad Copy Paste this CreateObject(“SAPI.SpVoice”).Speak”I Love You” Save as xyz.vbs Then run it |

My PC is constructed out of cold, hard steel. It exudes raw power from every orifice, and occasionally defends itself with electrical shocks when I get too close. Sounds pretty male to me. |

I'm running win 7 and mine is female. I think she's less educated or something because she studders when reading a pdf to me. |

I'm sorry, I don't use a PC on a normal basis. Besides, who really cares if it is a male or a female (like computers have genders...). I'm sure you understand that most people generally consider a PC a windows based computer. Since I simply cannot follow his instructions (I don't have an application called Notepad), how can I simply execute what the instructions stated? You do have "TextEdit" which is basically Notepad. 1
Macs would all be male. If you go into Terminal and type - "say I'm a Mac", or really anything, it's a male voice. However, I have known women who sound like a man, so I guess it's preference really. 1
If MAC is not PC, and PC is Windows, what is Linux? PC is a hardware. it's not an OS. you should go back to high school.

it's simpler than that, if you use XP like I do, it's male because it has Microsoft Sam and if you use Vista or 7, it's female because of the other voice ya thanks! 1
@Alekz You write 'she' in quotation marks, yet @zman didn't actually use the word in his post Seven is unisex You can actually add another command to change its voice right, so what's the point?

That isn't how you find out about your computer's gender. My mother's computer still has Windows XP, and has Sam, Mike, Mary, and two LH vioces. This one, which dual-boots Vista and Ubuntu, has Anna on Windows and when I installed Festival on Ubuntu, it had a male voice. |

My Dell laptop is a girl named Nellie-- Lavender's blue, Nellie Dellie, Lavender's green When we're online, Nellie Dellie You'll be my Queen. |
|
Neither, It's just a machine used for education & entertainment. |

You need to replace the special double-quotes with regular double quotes or it'll give an error.
Also in Mac OS X you can open the Terminal and type: "say I Love You" (without quotes)
