I am going to be receiving a laptop in the next two weeks. Due to a deal struck between my dad and one of his co-workers. I do some video editing, YouTube-ing, lockergnome.net-ing, Facebook-ing, and other general geeky related stuff. Windows or Mac. Specs: 4 GB+ ram powerful processor 500GB+ HDMI output maybe a Blue-Ray player(not necessary) Any suggestions? |

How about a Mac? how much is your price budget? for mac don't spend more than 1500 for pc don't spend more than 1000 If you're trying to get a PC Make sure it has Windows 7 or XP If you're getting a mac Make sure it has Leopard or Snow Leopard Make sure that the processor is at least 2.0GHz RAM Should be 4-8GB Have you considered a desktop? Hope I helped :-) sorry for all the make sure's. I was trying to make a list. A mac is my 1st choice, probably the normal macbook but maybe a macbook pro, it depends.will post a comment on this question once i get it stating which laptop it is. And I have a desktop that is in great condition, I need a laptop so i could take it around with me more when i travel. Thanks for your help! Sure, I'll look for a good one for you. but what exactly are you looking at spending? sorry I didn't see your comment about the pricing. One sec. Those are both good and seems like for a good price. hope I helped Thanks!!!!

I don't think you will find a whole lot of laptops that are at the $600-$900 price range. (you said reasonable price so that is what that means to me)
well, the normal macbook is priced at $999 Reasonable price would mean $600-$1500.
