Do you still use Bluetooth or is it out of date? |
Last I checked, Bluetooth is one of the top standards in most electronics these days. Even newer vehicles have Bluetooth link for mp3 players now. I have a stereo Bluetooth headset I use with my iPhone and laptop. I don't believe Bluetooth is as bad as a lot of people think, simply because there are a lot of misconceptions of it, it's not an analog signal, so it's not something you can listen in on with a cheap dollar store walkie talkie like you could old cordless handsets you used to have at home. |
Bluetooth is very up to date. I'm using an Apple Magic Mouse which uses Bluetooth to transfer the data to the computer. |
Bluetooth is very common. It's used for wireless keyboards, mouses (mice?), cellphone headsets, wireless connection for devices (cellphones, MP3 players, etc.) The list is really long. |
I use a Bluetooth Headset only when I'm playing PS3 online. That's about it though. |
I think my laptop has it, but I never use it. Bluetooth remains a popular, albeit insecure, method to link headsets to cell phones. BTW bluetooth can be intercepted as far as a mile away, so don't think it's safe just because of it's supposed short range. |
Bluetooth is still very much used. The PS3 and the Wii both use it to connect the remotes to their systems. The PS3 also supports using a Bluetooth headset when online gaming which is how I connect mine. Also some iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad games support using Bluetooth as a way to play the game with other people without the need for Wi-Fi. It is also still mainly used when talking on the phone with a headset as a way to avoid the use of cords. |

I'm wearing my bluetooth earpiece for my BlackBerry, I use the Magic Mouse with my iMac....it's still very popular. |
Is there any other option? I figured it was the standard. |
I personally prefer wired devices. For computer hardware, it seems to have slightly less lag, although sometimes for a mice its move convent if you don't like the cord. I really don't do much calling, but I like to just pop on a headset. The wire has never bothered me, and it is still hands free. |

I use my Dell Laptop's Built-in Bluetooth to connect my Wiimote and use it as a mouse :D |
