Hey everyone im just starting a blog here it is located at http://forteau.comlu.com/ any thoughts on what i should do to develop it and make it better? i specialise in graphic design, 3d design, and photography also i would like to know some means of making revenue online if possible thanks for your help! |

From personal experience, I've been trying to 'blog' about various things. I developed my own 'style' which not many people like, however the people who do keep reading my latest posts. It really depends on what you like to blog about. If you take it seriously, people will most likely find you. If you keep it up, they'll stick by your side. Getting revenue out of it will require a decent audience to start with. Myself, I have one ad on my blog, which covers for the hosting costs as well as some spare pocket money. Though, one thing that I'd advise you, is to search something to advertise that fits what you're blogging about. As it'll probably create more traffic than random ads. |

I did a lot of research and thinking before starting my blog. One incredible resource I found was problogger.net. They have a great article that links to several others that guides you through what to think about when creating a blog, finding a niche and attracting readers. You can find it here. As for making money, you obviously need to get a big audience first. Once you have that, google ad words is a really simple way to add unobtusive advertising on your site. If you talk about products at all, using the amazon.com affilliate program will pay you a commission on things people buy by clickint through on your site. Happy blogging! |
