Here are a few questions to ponder: Do you think Apple will ever allow wireless synching? Do you think Apple will ever back up your music/videos/apps/etc in the cloud? I know one may re-download songs/apps purchased in the iTunes/App Store. For example, if one broke his or her Amazon Kindle, he or she can just re-download the books that have been purchased to a new Kindle because Amazon keeps backups. What if your computer dies, and you break your iPhone? Everything is lost.

It is already possible to wireless sync your ipod touch, iphone and ipad with the help of a cydia app. Cydia had multitasking before Apple put it on their idevices, So its possible Apple might do it.

Then it will probably be years before you see these features done by Apple.

Actually there is a way that you can re-download all of your apps from the App Store for free. You just log-in with your Apple ID. As to the wireless syncing I don't see that happening for a a few years.
