Macbook Pro and Macbook Air

Is it true that the Macbook Pro is better than the Macbook air in terms of price,ram, battery, internal memory and screen size. If the Macbook Pro is better, it seems that the Macbook Air isn't all Apple says it is.

Well they are designed for different markets... The MacBook Pro is the powerful machine, it can have more RAM, a much faster processor, a big HDD, its made to be strained. While the Air is designed for portability and light tasks, thats why its cheaper.

the only person who needs a Pro is someone who is "filesharing" (read: pirating) and will fill up the storage on the Air too quickly, or just can't afford the RAM upgrade on the Mac. The only ppl who need the CPU in the pros are multimedia editors, mathematicians and gamers

So ... if I'm a pirate I need a MacBook Pro? This is a HORRIBLE reason. People were filesharing way before 120GB HDDs. Anyway ... CPU is the best for video editing. RAM is good for video and pictures. More or less, @Mattophobia got it right.
