why do you use lockergnome.net?

is it the endless possibility of questions? the extremely easy user interface? is it to be as helpful as you can and give back to the community? or are you just trying to get the most "karma" you can?

whatever the reason may be, why do you use lockergnome.net?

Duplicate Question(not sure what to do here since this one was closed. I am going to leave it open for someone else to decide): http://lockergnome.net/questions/119224/how-much-time-do-you-spend-on-this-site-and-why

The other one was closed for being a duplicate of: http://lockergnome.net/questions/87869/how-long-do-you-usually-spend-on-the-lockergnome-q-a-site

But this question is not. So we can leave it open maybe?

The question you linked was asking how much time you spend on the site, not why you use it.

Oh yes I know. The other question that TheTechDude linked was closed because of the other one. And the one that he linked is asking a similar question as this one but also one that got it closed. Maybe keep this one open?

I don't know what to do here because it is a clear duplicate but the duplicate was closed with no answers so I think that it should stay open. It won't hurt to leave it.

I agree. Lets leave it open. :P

Just keep it open until someone finds a exact duplicate. I feel like its been asked before

I use it to help people out with any knowledge I may have on their issues. I also look at LG.net as a learning tool as well. As much as we all may know, we don't know it all, and it's great to learn things from others just like us in the field.

I enjoy helping people out, and if this is one more area where I can, I'm more than happy to. I'm glad Chris has a community like this. It branches out to people both novice and expert, and we can all come together and share ideas, opinions, answers, questions, etc.

I use it to ask questions. And tech support. :)

I ask a lot of questions. Maybe to much sometimes. Before I found this site I was not able to get answers for some of the questions. But now I can just ask them on here. I also use it because a large amount of people on here are geeks. And I am a geek so there are a lot of potential friends. And I am friends with some people on this site. I get to discuss things that people where I live would not understand. Which I like. So lockergnome.net is fun, educational, and useful.

I use lockergnome.net to answer questions people ask, choose questions for Chris to answer for his videos, and to watch out for users that break the rules.

I also use it to get feedback for Chris Pirillo blooper video to upload during that specified week.

I use Lockergnome.net as a way to share my knowledge with other people that have questions. Lockergnome.net is also a great place to learn and gain knowledge. I have learned a lot from this site and in turn I help other people. I also like this site, because it is a great community full of good people all wanting to help on another.

I like to use this site as an opportunity to pass my knowledge onto other users in the community. It's also a good place to gain knowledge from another user. I find a lot of people specify in a particular field here on the site, therefore it's a great way to pick up on information or to get someone to clarify something you're not 100% sure on.

I do enjoy helping anyone I can with problems/issues they might have. Apart from a few idiots here on the site, most of the users are very friendly and helpful.

Simply, it's the only place where tech can be discussed in a way that's actually constructive. I'm a veteran of /g/, and I still go on it, but it's not really comparable to how handy this site is when I have a problem with something.

I think /g/ is better, i've seen many complex questions answered there in a couple minutes after it was asked.

I use it because it's a give take relationship. I like that I can give information to others and when I don't know something, I can ask my questions and know that the people answering know what they're talking about just by seeing the quality of answers they've given before.

I dislike that other forums (I know this technically isn't one) treat new users poorly and think that everything users with a large sum of posts say is correct.

Long story short, I like the equality.
