If I get a virus in my windows partition on bootcamp, will it be possible to affect my OS X partition? I realize that if it is made for windows it won't work on the mac, but I know sometimes hackers make a virus for the mac and pc... So will it be able to access another patition on the drive?

Does anyone know?

Not to my knowledge. They are separate partitions completely, plus windows cannot write to Mac OSX formatted partitions so a virus could not infect your Mac partition. Only your Windows one.

And vice versa?

Yes, Mac OSX cannot write to NTSC format. They can read each other, so you can access your Mac HDD and copy files off it, same on the other end. But they can't effect each other. Plus, the few Mac viruses there are only effect the user and not the system because of the way Mac OSX handles files.

If a virus is on one partition it will find a way to copy itself to the other partition. It wont affect your Mac but if you have some files on your mac and transfer them to a windows pc, it will infect the windows pc.
