Don't be cheap, you will lose in the end....

People know cheap when they see it, you will reduce your resale value if you buy a cheap case..

Because you most likely won't like your system, you will most likely want to get rid of it sooner.

Being cheap in a Power Supply & Motherboard can be a very FATAL mistake, so save your money and don't be cheap, final answer!

I've had a Antec 1200 case which I bought fairly cheap, it certainly wasn't lightweight, but I was able to go to lan parties without an issue. It makes a lot of noise, but the ventilation is perfect. Also has a lot of blue lights and afaik it'll fit most motherboards. Certainly isn't a bad purchase. Myself however, I switched the Antec 1200 for a Lian Li X2000F, ever since I don't go to Lan Parties a lot anymore, and as a computer in my bedroom, the noise and lights were very irritating.

First of all, I don't understand why "any" case wouldn't work, really. Just because you want a "gaming" machine means you need LED's? Are you going to be looking at your tower while playing your games or looking at your screen? Methinks "most" of the time people spend too much money on their towers with the fancy LED lights here and there, and see through it....simply just for the sake of saying they can, and it "looks cool"...yet, it really doesn't do anything in terms of affecting performance of the machine itself.

The only thing I would say is just make sure it's the right size for your motherboard, there is ENOUGH VENTILATION! (I cannot stress that ENOUGH) and easy access for cleaning/maintenance. (nothing with 400 screws in the back just to get one side of it removed)

Other than that, as far as I'm concerned, you're just wasting money because it "looks cool and lights up".

It's like buying battery-operated salt/pepper grinders...are you going to spend money on one set that does exactly what you want, or spend even MORE money for the exact same set, doing exactly the same thing - but lights up?
