I was wonder how I can remote desktop into a computer which is using XP as the OS, but I want the user to see what I am doing, which if you use the normal Remote Desktop it logs them out and they see nothing.

Doe anyone know what I can use or do to allow the user to see what I'm doing to their computer?

You can use TeamViewer. Person A would download the full version of their program and install it on their computer. And then person B would just download a small file and run it (no install). All B would then have to do is tell person A a ID number to type in to their computer and a password. Then person A is connected and controlling person Bs computer and person B can watch.

Person A download: http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/index.aspx (Full Version)
Person B download: http://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/index.aspx (Quick Support)

From my experiences with Teamviewer, i recommend that both parts use the same version of Teamviewer. I prefer Teamviewer 5.

@Jorge Guberte: I have never had a problem when one is using the Quick Support. It is good if a relative calls and does understand how to do something without having to walk them through a install.

@_GTech: Your welcome. It is a great program that I all the time to help family and friends

One last question, do you need to configure your router (for port forwarding) for Team Viewer or does it bypass the need to do this?

If it doesn't need router configuration man this would be the bomb! :D

Nope, no router configuration is needed. It is a great program.
