I love to watch cops on TV and shows like it. When I watch it is hard to tell what they are saying sometimes, so they have closed captions and I find that a lot of the time the cops with be swearing and what not. All you see is Text, Text, Text, Swear, Text, and so on. This is what has lead me into the next part of my post.
My question for the community is what do you think about cops swearing. I’m not talking about the show cops at this point but law enforcement in general. I do not look at cops as our country’s leaders but I do see them as small town leaders and people that we can look up too.
Should cops be able to swear and speak their mind when in duty? Or does it bring a bad appeal to the over all atmosphere when you see that kind of behavior from a public works person? On the other hand sometime when a cop swears at someone it can help then to get the situation under control, but I see that very little so with all of this content in mind what are your opinions?
Thanks, Brandon Denison

Swearing should be permitted as it's just an aspect of language; however they should be educated on how use of such language makes them seem ignorant. Moreover, that type of language can be inflammatory and make a bad situation worse.
Imagine a police officer saying "I pulled you over because you were going over the speed-limit" Vs. "I stopped you for driving like a dick".

I mean I'm looking at this from an ethnical view point. I feel that it is interesting that we all think the same or different on this.
Personal I feel that they should not be able to swear because what if they are pissed and start cussing out someone and then later find out it was mistaken Identity.
