Does wearing glasses make you look smarter?

The stereotype would say yes...

and studies have proven that our subconscious is extremely powerful within our brain - this means that to others you almost certainly do look more intelligent with glasses because our subconscious will associate glasses with the stereotype.

(there is a disclaimer here - there are still other factors in appearance that will determine how others see you)

I wear glasses but find that being intelligent also helps ;)

Not always. Some people wear glasses to try and look smarter and they look like a dork. As someone whoose been in glasses his whole like though I will say that glasses make this tech stuff alot easier. And the right lenses help too.

I wear glasses every day. I don't care if the make me look smarter or not, the point is they make other people and things look better to ME.

Smart is in the mind of the beholder - to paraphrase :-)

I wear glasses, but I wish I could be without them. We have heard this question many times before, so I guess wearing glasses do look nerdy to some extent, and for that matter Smart.
