Hey everyone,

I just uploaded an video to Youtube where in I played a custom map. I already made a post to the thread on the Minecraft forums but I've only got a total of 9 views in about 14 hours. I know self-advertisement is not allowed on Lockergnome.net so I (unfortunately) won't be posting any links at the time being.

But do you have any suggestions to get more viewers? I've tweeted about the video but I only have like 30 followers of which 20 are either inactive or bots.

Thanks in advance.

The problem is more of your YouTube channel's popularity in general rather than that one video. If you're going to create Minecraft videos only, I doubt you'll be flaming in fame. There are gamers, geeks, professors, scientists, programmers, technicians and so on. My point is that only a dime of the world's population plays Minecraft. You may try, but don't expect to get loads of viewers. I'm not trying to say anything bad about what you're doing, but I'd suggest taking an area you really like and base your videos on them. To advertise your videos you can try Google, popular/famous people/sites mentioning you. Your best bet would be to use other known people and websites. Good luck!

If you Facebook, you can post it there. Unfortunately with youtube, you're only going to get views from people looking for that item. As always, If you blog or have your own webpage, you can post it there as well. Hopefully some other people will get on here an provide you with some other ideas.

Yeah and unfortunately I don't have Facebook and my website is only visited maybe once a week by a random stranger. But who never shoots never scores.
