Above is a link to my TV. Please tell me if I can connect my Mac to it and use it as a monitor. I just want to surf the web. The Macs I have are the MBP 2008 model and the 2009 MB. Thanks.

I think you can. You need to buy an HDMI cable that can connect to your mac. If your mac has mini display, than you need an HDMI to mini display cable. If you mac has DVI, than you need an HDMI to DVI cable.

Yes you can, you can get a a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter, or a Mini-DVI to VGA adapter at a apple store. There is also a Mini-DVI to Video adapter, but the quality will be very bad

This will work with both of your macbook

Thanks for answering. Will the quality look good if I get these - Mini-DVI to DVI adapter, or a Mini-DVI to VGA?

I don't think Mini DVI to DVI will work, since the TV has not got DVI. Or am I misunderstanding?

My TV only has this - PC interface VGA (HD-15) -- I don't see DVI =/

One more thing..how will my TV pick up the mouse/keyboard? Bluetooth or does it come with a chip?

(Feb 24 '11 at 17:44) RamoUP RamoUP's gravatar image

The mouse/keyboard will be handled by the macbook, the cursors and things can be seen on the TV

showing 5 of 7 show all

This should suit you just fine if you already have an HDMI cable, if not, they're quite cheap:
