I use linux most of the time but i do have windows installed on all my pc's with linux except for the servers that don't have a monitor. I just use a kvm switch on them or use the terminal. |

I use Snow Leopard the most, as it's my main machine for the "hardcore" work. My wife's and my laptops are both Windows 7, and for what I use mine for at least, it's fine. I don't use it all that often, and for little things. Surfing the web and YouTubing late and night in bed with earbuds, or taking it with me when I travel for work. |

Linux Ubuntu, and yes I have Compiz Fusion installed on it :) |

Ubuntu and Windows get an even split from me, my 10.10 systems are all running Compiz Fusion, and I have a mild custom theme on my Windows 7 machine. |

Mostly linux Ubuntu because I have my Raid 1 and web server on there and am currently writing content for my site so need to run it locally. Since I got it all set up nice in Linux I can't be bothered to install IIS or Apache on windows right now. Plus for consistency sake I only like to have one copy of the site. I have another XP key in a VM anyway so I only need to go into the XP partition to record from my webcam. I may get 64 bit win 7 in the future but Linux does work for me. Openshot just rocks! If they develop it for windows I would probably drop Linux but it's fun how much you can customise the interface with a few clicks. My laptop has win 7 and i've set up IIS fine on there so I don't bother going into the Linux partition unless people want to see what Linux is. I always get the same reaction. Is that really free? It works so well. I currently have Linux setup with compiz fusion + emerald + docky + desktop nova to auto change the background from images in the pictures folder on my PC and Kubuntu on the laptop. |

Main desktop rig: Linux Mint 9 with Compiz Fusion (desktop 3D cube, wobbly windows, exploding tiles @ window closing, "burn" effect at certain dialogue box closings)- I love the eye-candy on Mint- :) Yes, I know some think that's all just fluff- but it IS cool! Anyway, that's my desktop: running i7-930, 6GB DDR3, 1GB Vapor-X 5770 graphics. I have XP as a VM for the couple of odd peripherals/programs I use that need MS. This is the machine that I use 95% of the time. Other is a 3 yr. old, Toshiba laptop running Vista. Good for when I want to sit out on the patio & check my mail, etc... Cheers! |

Windows 7, because I go for practicality over looks and being a hippy. |
