What is the BEST video player for a website? |
|
Flowplay is a good one!! So is divx plus web player |

hmm 1920x1080 progressive over the internet? that means you have at least 6Mbps from your computer player to the source? Most web videos are down-coded even in a lossy format and don't match the original videos quality, color saturation and true-black. |

First of all - it doesn't really matter which web video player you pick up - quality will be the same almost everywhere (for Flash & HTML5 based players). What matters the most is the quality of your videos (h.264 > anything). I've tried several web video players including FlowPlayer and JW, which are very cool, but expensive too (commercial license for JW is about 300 Euro+). I personally recommend DarkOnyx which is a very nice Flash/HTML5 hybrid. It costs around 150 bucks (1/4 JW) and has its own CMS for managing video. There is a free edition too if you don't need tech-support and your own watermark. |
