Well if your talking about WordPress the best one is All-in-one-SEO. But for other general SEO tools I use guides from W3 Schools.

I use SEOMoz's tools - they really are the best, but they cost.

Free tools I often use are Xenu for linking and Screaming Frog SEO Spider for technical SEO. I don't know how I worked before I had them!
