I own a Compaq Presarrio PC, model SG3203LA. I was working on int, when the display suddenly shut down, but the CPU was still "running"... Then, it began to make an intermitent sound, beep...

I tried to unplug and plug it again to the power source, but it didn't seem to work... Any advice here? I seriously need this machine up and running.

Thanks in advance!

Well, at first, this could be many things.

I would say this may be something to do with your video card, or even your RAM.

Can you give us a little more information - how many beeps does it give you at boot?

It's one large beep, then a short one... It never ends, until I unplug it from the power source.

Are there more than two, or is it simply one long one, then one short one, and that's it?

Here's a place to start. Looks like it may very well be a RAM issue. I would taking taking the RAM out, putting one in and booting up each time, and seeing which one may possibly be bad one.
