I fully understand that this is a Q+A site but I need to report this problem to all Windows Users. A new virus is going round, a trojan, and affecting many PC's. I have recently got this through a website and I took it to some PC experts to try and get rid of the virus. Unfortunateley, they could do absolutely nothing and my laptop is now in the bin! This virus causes the user infected to be completely locked up so absolutely nothing can be accessed. The only way to get rid of this is to log on as a different user account and remove the virus from there a it only affects one user. So this is just a quick announcement reccomending all Windows users to create an extra user account on each of their PC's and give it adminastritive rights because if this virus does infect your computer, you'll be going straight down to the bank. Once again I realise that this is a question and answer site but I feel this had to be published. If you would like to know the site at which I retrieved the trojan virus from then please contact me at jakeparkin1@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks.

Your laptop is in the bin?

A wipe at least would fix it, if you had no other accounts.

If that failed, a new hard drive would kill it outright.

feel free to email me on tim@fontana.me.uk as I'm sure this is nothing more than scaremongering
