How can I learn Xcode to start programing for the iPad? And will knowing PHP help?

Read books, google and mess with code. I am trying to learn to but this will make you say apps are crap less often! Also you NEED a Mac incase you didn't know. I don't think PHP will help you a lot but maybe a bit.

Thanks.. I plan on buying a Mac when the new Mac Mini comes out.In the meantime I'll start reading some books.
