Yes, because you are going from a lossless format to a format that has quality limits. It's just like using a JPEG image compared to a PNG. PNG is a lossless format, and JPEG is a lossy format. If you are going to convert it, you should have a high bit-rate. I use 256 kbps when I convert a lossless codec to a lossy one.
